The climate emergency and the COVID-19 pandemic has shown that we need to invest to stop the climate crisis.

A new public works programme investing in international train travel should create new, green jobs and investment opportunities for the North of the UK.

Without proper devolution, only Government and Parliament have the power, money and resources to kickstart such an investment programme.

Working people deserve access to travel & the North deserves world class public transport.

Parliament should vote to begin a new programme of night trains & regional Eurostars for the North.
