Closed Bring in an Act similar to the USA’s ‘Jones Act’ to better regulate UK seafaring

I would like the Government to create at Act to Ensure that ships registered in UK, majority operating in the UK, and ferry routes within, into or out of the UK that are not staffed by nationals from their other port of call, are UK nationals or permanent residents of the UK.

It is essential to create such an Act in order to protect what is left of our British seafarers. We believe the current state of affairs is unacceptable, raising concerns with regards to both safety and national security.
