Closed petition Free or reduced cost passports for persons aged 80 and older

Closed on

Pensioners over 80 years of age, born after September 1929, who require a new passport currently have to pay for a full 32 page 10 year passport. This is an extreme measure for many who, due to increasing age, are unlikely to be fit to travel abroad into their late 80s. Passports should therefore be free for all persons aged 80 or over at time of renewal or renewable bi-annually at much reduced rates
