Rejected petition Add "taking a drive to test your eyesight" to future lockdown rules.
During the first full UK lockdown, many people were not aware that leaving home to go for a drive to test your eyesight was within the guidelines. If the UK goes into a second full lockdown, many people could benefit from knowing it is acceptable to go for a drive to test your eyesight.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Driving when knowingly suffering from a medical or physical condition that significantly and dangerously impairs the offender's driving skills, such as impaired eyesight, is already likely to be treated as dangerous driving. Rules relating to dangerous driving have not been affected by regulations and restrictions relating to coronavirus.
Decisions on whether to arrest and prosecute alleged offenders is a matter for local police forces and the Crown Prosecution Service, not the UK Government or Parliament.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
