Petition To establish a Royal Commission on Education in England and Wales.

The present education system has been so meddled with, and grossly underfunded in the public sector, that it is now incoherent and incapable of achieving appropriate goals.

We ask that a Royal Commission be set up to:-

a) investigate and articulate aims and purposes of education in E & W including meeting national, economic, employment, professional and global needs and achieving individuals' abilities and skills;

b) propose systems and structures i) to provide this education and ii) to assess the successes of both individual students and the organisations and institutions providing the learning experiences; and

c) propose funding arrangements to meet the costs arising.
