Closed On the Spot Fines, remove the at officer’s discretion

There are occasions when an on the spot fine is at the police officers discretion.

An example of this could be where one has an illegal number plate. The officer has the discretion as to either issue a £60 on the spot fine or issue a defective vehicle notice giving a set number of days to get the offence rectified.

This petition is to remove the unfairness and injustice of if your face doesn’t fit or the officer has had a good or bad day.
