Rejected petition Legalise electric scooters for use on pavements

During the current pandemic we have been advised by the government to avoid public transport where necessary. There are climate and health crises which could be partially alleviated by the introduction scooters. This positive impact can be seen in other countries.

More details

Currently scooters are banned from use on the roads and pavements and only the government can repeal this or bring in a new act which legalises and promotes safety for scooter users.
