We call on the government to force the owners of the Dartford Crossing facilities to adopt the number plate recognition and charging system used for the London Congestion Charge and remove the toll booths. These booths create enormous delays of an hour or more with the resultant loss of time to both individuals and business, excessive use of fuel and high levels of pollution.
