Rejected petition Arrange for extensions to all railcards due to Covid 19

Arrange for extensions or partial refunds for all railcards due to travel restrictions during the Covid 19 pandemic to align Railcard with the measures introduced by train operators to refund ticket costs.

We have been asked to only travel on public transport if the journey is essential. As many people with railcards use these only for leisure purposes, these have gone unused since March and Railcard have refused to extend the validity of railcards or offer partial refunds for this period of time. Railcard have said that the cost of the railcard can be recouped in one journey however as many holidays have been cancelled this won’t be the case for many people.
