Petition Free Oyster Cards for University Students

It's a disgrace that students, who in no way caused the financial crisis, had to bear the heaviest burden with the obscene rise in tutition fees.
What is truely atrocious, however, is that London students, already in the most expensive part of the country and having almost all their universities charging the full £9,000, also have to pay for their travel to and from a university they simply cannot afford to live anywhere near. It makes no sense for this to continue, particularly when it is remembered that workers on the Underground (who are in work and being paid) get free travel, as do full-time students in sixth form colleges. It is only right for this to be extended to include University Students.
