Closed Require local councils to publish final destinations of household recycling.

It is not currently possible to learn the fate of domestic recycling if local councils sell that waste to a private company. Parliament should legislate for complete transparency of the full recycling chain, from domestic bins to final destination.

UK citizens do not want their taxes used to export household wste to countries where materials, including plastics, are burned or buried instead of being recycled. Local councils should be forced to reveal the final destinations of UK household recycling.
