Funding for increasing the health and physical activity in schools is due to end in 2021 and there is no certainty on future funding. The sugar tax should be permanently allocated to improving the quality of health, physical activity and well-being education for all school children

The health and well-being of all students in schools should be the number one priority. Without the sport premium, schools' will struggle to fund and provide opportunities for high quality health, physical activity and well-being provision. By permanently allocating sugar tax money to the health of all children, the occurrence of preventable illnesses such as diabetes can be significantly reduced.
