Offer one-off grants to postgraduate students in the academic year 2020/2021 for up to 75% of the average postgraduate course fees.

Through offering one-off grants to postgraduate students in the academic year 2020/2021, the government can mitigate several negative impacts from the COVID-19 crisis.

It could
1) Reduce youth unemployment as a higher portion of graduates would remain in education.
2) Offset the financial impact of loss of overseas students on universities.
3) Significantly increase the employment opportunities for those postgraduates when compared to them being on unemployment for the equivalent period.
