We’re waiting for a new Petitions Committee

Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Rejected petition Let beauticians open without restrictions

Allow beauty salons to open without restrictions so that all treatments can be carried out. Including anything to the face, i.e. eyelash extensions, eyebrow tinting/waxing etc.

More details

The difference between beauty treatments that are allowed and not allowed, does not make sense. For instance a barber can groom a beard and a tattoo artist can create a wound in the skin, but you cannot have eyelash extensions applied or eyebrows waxed. Having a beard groomed is working on the face, it is no different to having various facial beauty treatments.
