Closed petition Provide the events and nightlife industries with provisional dates for reopening

The majority of the other sectors have been given information about how they are able to reopen safely and when. The events and music industries employ over 720,000 people not including freelancers yet we have been left in the dark.

More details

Throughout the COVID-19 outbreak, the government have neglected our industries. Whilst some employers and businesses will survive, many will not. On 11th July, outdoor events were given the go ahead to restart dependant on a limited and socially distanced audience. We are calling on the government to provide us with provisional dates for the phases four and five of the plan for live events reopening set out by Oliver Dowden so that we have some indication of what the future holds for our sector.
