Closed petition Impose term limits on Members of Parliament

The attitudes of the public can change faster than that of politicians, who can grow too comfortable in their positions. By limiting their time in office, Parliament can evolve at a faster pace and better reflect the changing attitudes of the people it claims to serve.

I want MPs to use their platform to serve the public interest. If being an MP becomes a way to make a living rather than a public duty, MPs could become incentivised to maintain a status quo and not make real change. A maximum term limit on all MPs means they can't grow too comfortable, and politics can evolve at a more effective pace.
