Important:

This petition was submitted during the 2019-2024 parliament

Rejected petition We would like the Government to debate the growing problem of Christianophobia.

We want the Government to recognise Christianophobia as the fear of, hatred of, or prejudice against the Christian religion or Christians generally.

We want the Government to consider such phobia as constituting racism towards a defined group.

More details

We live in a world where Christianophobia is a growing problem. Here in the U.K., as well as Europe, over several decades successive governments have openly promoted mass-immigration and diversity. The result of such policies has led to a significant surge in anti-Christianism; evidenced directly in the growing intolerance of Saint George - England’s patron saint, damage to churches and planned or actual terrorist acts against Christians (e.g. St Paul’s Cathedral).

Protect Christianity Now.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. We understand you are concerned about religious tolerance but we're not sure what action you want the UK Government or Parliament to take. Discrimination and hate crimes on the grounds of religion are already illegal.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
