Following C-621/18, Art. 50 TEU holds that where a Member State has notified the Council of its intention to leave the EU, that Member State, for as long as the Article 50(3) TEU period (or its extension) has not expired – is able to revoke such notification unilaterally. Please revoke Article 50.

More details

The UK is the worst affected by Covid-19 in Europe with a 20.4% economic contraction and projected for the worst contraction in the OECD of 11.5% for 2020-21. Various polling through 2020 shows that the public want to Remain in the EU (as of June 56%). Brexit is not right for the UK. It will destroy our economy, lower our living standards, lower our global standing and threaten our territorial integrity and cohesion. All this chaos and pain for a non-binding opinion poll, is simply wrong.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

The UK left the EU on 31 January 2020, so is no longer able to revoke Article 50.

You could start a petition calling on the Government to seek to rejoin the EU, if that is what you want to happen.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
