Rejected petition Allow policyholders to stop declaring void or cancelled policies after 5 years.

As a policyholder, I have learnt that cancelled policies must be declared for life, affecting car, home, life and pet cover.

It is unfair for policyholders to have to suffer these consequences indefinitely hence a fair time limit must be set.

Requirements for policy holders to declare past polices is a matter for individual insurance providers, not the Government or House of Commons.
