Closed petition Allow the display of LGBT+ pride flags without council permission

Currently, any pride flag other than the rainbow pride flag may not be displayed outside a building without having to get planning permission as it is treated as advertising. This can prevent LGBT+ people from displaying pride in their specific identities in their own communities.

More details

We are demanding that additional pride flags be included in the flags able to be flown without consent, such as the trans pride flag, lesbian pride flag, bisexual pride flag, pan sexual pride flag, aromantic pride flag and asexual pride flag.

The government should consult LGBT+ organisations in the creation and implementations of guidelines on which flags may be flown without requiring consent.
