Closed Engage internationally to end bear bile farming

The UK Government should seek to persuade governments of countries where bear bile farming takes place to outlaw and act to end this practice. Abuse of bears has no place in the modern world, and the UK Government should not stand by and do nothing in the face of such barbaric animal cruelty.

Bear bile is used in certain traditional medicines, but this does not justify the practice of bear bile farming, and research has shown that there are substitutes to bear bile.
