Closed Bring in mandatory licences for ferret breeding

It has become very apparent to myself since owning ferrets that many people breed ferrets for pure profit and they sell young and poorly kits to unsuspecting people before these kits are ready to leave their mothers.

I would like the government to enforce a license system for people who own ferrets and for people who breed ferrets with the animal's welfare being the top priority. Or some form of law to protect these precious souls. Hefty fines and possible prison sentences for people who continue to neglect their ferrets and their kits.
