Closed petition Make it Mandatory for Adverts to have trigger warnings where Appropriate.
Closed on
My Fiancé has PTSD and some of my friends have mental health diagnosis'. Some adverts can cause panic attacks, anxiety attacks and other mental health triggers and don't have enough time to mute the TV or turn off the TV. I want the government to make it Mandatory to have trigger warnings on adverts
that need it. For example all sexual assault adverts should have a 5 second message before it to state that the following adverts could trigger you with a message that could just state "sexual assault warning". This could be done adverts to support children in 3rd world countries, 5 seconds with a trigger warning message stating "suffering children warning" or something similar. It gives all people a chance not to be triggered if the choose, while watching TV so they can feel safe watching it.
