Rejected petition Enable ANY Endometriosis sufferers with PIP income support & a blue badge.

Endometriosis sufferers deserve rights to income support and a blue badge. This is, under EVERY circumstance a disabling illness.
The nature of this untreatable long-term condition is that it affects women for their entire lives. This should get the recognition that other disabling illnesses get.

More details

I believe there is not enough support for Endometriosis sufferers. They live in invisible pain, and deserve the (easily accessible) right to disability benefits.

The absolute struggle to be taken seriously with this illness is a battle, and women should be supported and listened to more.

The main aim is: for Endometriosis sufferers to have more access to PIP support and a blue badge, without having to battle with the healthcare system, which has taken years for some women.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

The Personal Independence Payment is paid to people who have a health condition or disability which causes difficulties with daily living or getting around. PIP is paid based on the difficulties causes by a health condition or disability, but there are not particular conditions which result in PIP being paid. You can read more about eligibility for PIP here: https://www.gov.uk/pip/eligibility

Similarly, Blue Badges are automatically awarded to people if they receive certain rates of particular benefits, but are not normally awarded because people have a specific condition. Local councils, not the Government or House of Commons, are responsible for deciding who is eligible for a blue badge.
