Rejected petition Create an Online Poll system for Public votes on policies, SpAds and Ministers

I would like Parliament to provide the opportunity for members of the public to create online polls and vote on them, for example on the actions of Special Advisers, who are powerful in policy making and Ministers. Allowing people timely feedback on the actions of Government employees and policies.

More details

Special Advisers are unelected and unaccountable to the Public, who pay them. As they are powerful, we should allow the Public to create timely, impromptu online polls regarding current events in order for them to democratically express their feelings on the actions of said Advisers, Ministers and policies.

Such a system would allow a Voter to register and pose a question. Other Voters could then support or oppose the position. Voting would runs perpetually. The current status is Public opinion

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do, how the polling you describe would work, and whether you want these polls to influence Parliament or Government in some way.

You could start a new petition explaining more clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
