Closed Extend sexual offences relating to under 13s to apply to all children under 16

Currently there are specific sexual offences for under 13s for rape, sexual assault and causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, but these do not cover children aged 13 to 15, despite them being under the age of consent.

The Government should extend the scope of sexual offences relating to under 13s so that they apply to all children under the age of 16, the age at which a person can consent to sex.
