Animal cruelty videos are widely available on the internet on file sharing type sites and others, often hosted outside of the United Kingdom.
Some of these videos have been produced primarily for pornographic purposes - for example the much publicised 'crush fetish' videos.
Unspeakable acts of cruelty inflicted against animals for this (or any other) purpose have no place in our society.
Consequently, this petition requests consideration be given to adding acts of animal cruelty to the list of images prohibited under existing Extreme Pornography laws as per Section 63 of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008.
