More details

Millgarth Police station is an iconic building and not only serves a deterant for would be criminals entering Leeds and reinforces the strength of The West Yorkshire Police. Without this building in the centre of Leeds would put policing in the city to a considerable strain and would make response times longer to any incidents within the city. This is a multi purpose. Not only with the nearest custody department. this is the home of BACIL. Business Against Crime In Leeds. Which provides radio contact to all shops, pubs and clubs with radio systems. Also valuable for all the clubs within Leeds city centre as well as providing the support to the Street Marshals during every weekend. It also provides protection with in the city with the CCTV cameras. This serves as a base for our PCSO's which provide a valuable service and a quick response. If you feel strongly with the planned demolition of this iconic building please join us by signing this petition. Many thanks.
