Rejected petition Daniel Barenboim to be nominated for Nobel Peace Prize
More details
The Nobel Peace Prize is well deserved for Daniel Barenboim's remarkable work to promote understanding and tolerance through his West-Eastern Divan Orchestra. The orchestra, set up in 1999 is made up of young Israelis and Arabs whose differences of background and culture disappear when they make music together. They have performed all over the world. The government is among the few bodies/individuals eligible to nominate for the Nobel Peace Prize. Nominations are invited every September.
