Where a female falls pregnant, and is at, or exceeds the age of consent, and is not pregnant due to a crime, it should be mandatory for a healthcare practitioner arranging an abortion to make all reasonable efforts to contact the male partner.

On identifying the male partner responsible for the pregnancy, he shall be asked, by the healthcare practitioner or provider, for his consent to the abortion.

If he declines or refuses to give permission for the abortion, an abortion shall not take place.

Should he give consent for an abortion to proceed, the abortion shall proceed.

An abortion shall be permitted without the consent of the male if the female will suffer serious injury or death if an abortion is not performed immediately.

A pregnant female who provides any false information to a healthcare practitioner, with the intention of preventing contact with the male shall be guilty of obtaining services by deception.
