Andrew Mitchell should resign over his comments towards police officers stationed at number 10. Andrew Mitchell called an officer (who was correctly carrying out his duty) a "pleb". Mitchell also instructed the officer to "know his place". These comments come at a time when the police are suffering with decreasing numbers and at a time when officers are dealing with the death of two colleagues.
