Irrespective of who you are no one should be able to abuse police officers on duty with impunity. It isn't fair that ordinary citizens would not get away with verbally abusing police officers, whilst those who purport to represent us in Parliament think they can.
As a nation if we are, 'all in this together', then fairness must prevail.
