Many MP's put into place legislation that favours certain companies, that they then take lucrative "consultant" positions with after they retire from being an MP.

To combat rife corruption within politics, any person wishing to become an MP must surrender the right to work at such firms afterwards- they will not be permitted to work for, receive payments or gifts, or any other form of benefit from any private company that they have dealt with in a ministerial position.
