Following Southampton City Councils announcement of proposed budget cuts on 13th November 2012 which will effect Southampton Youth Services and Sure Starts we want these proposed cuts reviewed in line with the Action for Children Paper: These proposals will have a detrimental effect on our children, their growth and development and onto adulthood.

Details of proposed cuts below:-
Sure Start children’s centres, £1m, 12 jobs
Our House residential children’s home to close £788,000, 22 jobs
Children’s service support and management roles £1.15m, 36 jobs
Youth service slashed £765,000
