Petition EU should give back its Peace Prize

We the undersigned ask the UK Government to present this petition to the EU Commission in response to the growing dismay over its Nobel Peace Prize Award in 2012 asking that the recipients of the Peace Prize be given back to the Foundation on matters of principle.

We ask that the EU reconsiders the award and the people of the EU, including Nobel Peace laureates who have come forwards in protest at the decision to award the 2012 prize to the European Union with an open letter stating;

'“The EU is clearly not ‘the champion of peace’ that Alfred Nobel had in mind when he wrote his will. The Norwegian Nobel committee has redefined and remodeled the prize in a manner that it is not consistent with the law.'
