Petition Insist that the G8 takes action on Tax Havens
More details
We, the undersigned, insist that when David Cameron, and the UK, host the G8 Summit at Fermanagh in June 2013, that:
1) the subject of Tax Havens, and their abuse by the ultra-rich is on the Agenda,
2) the G8 are urged to take firm action in order to minimise the continued use of artificial schemes set up in Tax Havens by multinational companies and investors in order to minimise their liability to pay Corporation Tax in the countries where the money is earned.
Governments - and the vast majority of the honest, hard working tax paying people they represent - can no longer afford for the ultra-rich to choose whether or not to pay tax.
Taxation needs to be fair, and for it to be fair, it cannot be optional for the tiny minority of ultra-rich companies and people who abuse the system by running their businesses from addresses of convenience in Tax Havens.
