Deregulation of bus services outside London by the 1985 Transport Act has resulted a lack of competition which means expensive fares and poor service, despite usuage remaining static. This petition calls on the Govenment to review The Transport Act 1985 and Local Transport Act 2008 and to re-introduce regulation of bus services by local councils in the United Kingdom, as it is in Northern Ireland and London.
