Petition Build Korean War memorial
More details
NOTING that over 1,000 British soldiers were killed in the Korean War, with a further 170,000 from allied UN countries,
CONCERNED that there is not a single memorial to their sacrifice or the service of the further thousands who also served in the conflict in England, and that only minimal memorials exist in Scotland and N. Ireland.
OBSERVING that 2013 marks the 60th anniversary of the end of the conflict and that the subject is politically neutral,
HEREBY asks the the government to build a memorial to the British participation in the Korean War.
