Closed Make it an offence for pedestrians to cross a road not at a designated crossing

I want the Government to make it a criminal offence for pedestrians to cross a road in a place other than a designated crossing.

Pedestrians are currently able to cross most roads at any point, but this can result in situations where pedestrians cross when it is not safe to do so, which can lead to unnecessary collisions.

The Government should introduce a new offence which should reduce the risk of unnecessary collisions.
