Petition Create a National Debt Lottery

The creation of a National Debt Lottery would enable the Government to reduce the national debt by what is, in effect, a voluntary tax.

The Government would have to use the money to pay down the debt, thereby saving many jobs and vital local and national services.

A National Debt Clock would illustrate the ongoing reduction in the debt.

I urge the Government to seek cross-party support for such a scheme, as we can only solve the debt problem by everyone working together.
