We believe that in the light of the Zimmerman verdict in Florida, UK public confidence that the US justice system is impartial can no longer be sustained. The UK government should therefore publicly debate the rights and wrongs of our extradition treaty with the US, to send a clear signal of the international dismay at the implications of this verdict.
