A Cesarean Section is a major operation but is not treated as such. Not many women whom have had a baby get seen by their GP in the 6-8weeks following birth, and this includes those who have had a Cesarean Section.

There should be more care as there are several layers of stitches and the external wound is not an indicator of successful healing.

Every woman who has had a Cesarean Section should be routinely be seen at least once by their GP or a doctor at the hospital.
