Closed petition Statutory paternity pay should be avaliable for self employed fathers
Closed on
At present, self employed fathers are entiltled to absolutely no statutory paternity leave or pay, unlike employed fathers, employed mothers and self employed mothers who all are.
Self employed fathers pay their fair share in tax and NI and so should be entitled to the same benefits, as well as restrictions, as the rest of the work force.
This is pure sexism and descrimination at work and should be put to and end with equality of statutory paternity pay and leave allowance.
