I petition that all existing tree preservation orders (PTOs) on Leylandii and non-native (to UK) conifers should be repealed with immediate effect and banned from being enforced in the future.

This will enable landowners to maintain them, cut them back or remove them without having to go through the lengthy red-tape procedure of applying for permission for works to be carried out.

Most trees of this type are an eye-sore and nuisance, and stop local native trees from growing.
