I want Government to restrict the time taken to settle Personal Injury Claims.

In claims where liability is denied those claims should firstly go to mediation in front of a panel of experts and then go to trial with 1 Year of the claim being laid. All personal injury cases should be settled within 3 years maximum from the date the claim is made, caveats should be put in place for further damages after a claim is settled for any worsening of injuries. The present system makes people reliant on meagre benefits and results in poverty and financial hardship. It needs change.
