Closed Life jackets must be worn if in sea on inflatable, boat, kayak etc

On the spot fine £200 for anyone who is seen not wearing a life jacket. Patrol lifeguards should have the power to monitor beaches and require anyone found without one to be called out the sea and fined.

You get fines for not wearing a seat belt? What’s the difference?

My two children lost their father two weeks ago when he went into the sea on his kayak without a life jacket, lifeguards and search teams searched hours for two days until he sadly washed up dead two days later. Me and my children are heartbroken. And the family also. I would like water safety to be taught better in the UK to make sure these stricter rules are followed.
