We’re waiting for a new Petitions Committee
Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Closed petition Make it an offence for shops to sell items to persons not wearing face coverings
The government should utilise the Coronavirus Act to place the legal obligation on shops and transport organisations to not serve persons who are not wearing face coverings and whom do not evidence their cause for exemption.
More details
1. Place the legal onus on the shops and relevent organisations not to admin or to not serve those who do not wear face coverings without evidence of exemption.
2. Put in place a more effectively rolled out card system for those with legitimate grounds for exemption. They can keep their exemption card on them or on a lanyard and would not need to disclose the reason for their exemption. The cards would need to be issued based on evidence of their exemption.
This will save lives.
