It has been reported that the Home Secretary has sought assistance from the navy to deter migrants from entering the UK via the Channel Tunnel. We believe this would be an unnecessary and dangerous way to discourage those fleeing their countries to seek a better life.

The Governments should not use military assets to prevent attempts to enter the UK. It could put lives at risk and more potently, dehumanizes those attempting to cross.
