Closed Make Free School Meals (FSM) fairer and accessible to ALL low income families

The Government should extend the free school meals scheme to include the provision of food vouchers for low income families who have to provide a packed lunch for their child, due to dietary, sensory or educational needs as well as those who home school.

If parents are entitled to help why should they suffer financially because child has sensory/dietary needs and can’t access FSM.

Also many families due to having children with additional needs/no suitable school places, home educate their children. In recent years a large number of parents who home educate are low income families where Home Education is the best option for the child but the parents, struggle financially.
