When some ex servicemen and women reach the age of 65, their forces pension is reduced due to National Insurance and Graduated Pensions Contributions, being already paid back in the state pension. This does not apply to civilians or to servicemen and women who have served 22 years. The practice is discriminatory and should be abolished in law
